Here is the new Bee Balm website page. If you love to drink tea like I do, you have probably heard of teas (or tisanes) with Bergamot in it. Earl Gray is the famous tea with Bergamot to flavor it. But Bergamot and Bee Balm are one in the same! I am not a fan of Earl Gray tea, but I am a fan of putting Bee Balm flowers in ice cubes for making lovely drinks. I have some photos, but must not have gathered them when I gathered the others (I need to find them). It is my hope to make some ice cubes to share in a future post with you. I just need more hours in the day!
Here is the new YouTube video. Thanks as always for watching!
The native plant species of Bee Balm gets SO tall and I do not like it. I have been trying to get shorter species in my garden, but before last year when I banned hubby from the garden beds, he would always pull them as weeds. Last Autumn and this year I have several new species which are shorter and I plan to spread them around the garden more. They bloom for so long and are a fabulous pop of color. They are also easy to maintain when they are short with some simple deadheading. I moved the tall ones to the “Back 40” as we call that garden bed where all the tall things have been moved to. I like having a native species around, but I am just not fond of the plant.
I get these weekly roundup stats on YouTube. It always amazes me that 1.8K people have watched my videos (or whatever the number is for that week). Those are individual people, and not the number of views! For some folks that might seem like a small amount, but it blows me away.
There are several more pages in the roundup. This is another one. I do not get notification of likes and shares, so that is always interesting to me to see the total number. YouTube does not show me who likes or shares either. It does show me who comments, but I am always lacking on comments. Part of me wishes I could “work” at different techniques to get more comments, and part of me is content to not work more. I think if I showed more of my face talking to the camera people would comment more.
Here’s just a lovely little spot in my garden this week.
As a reader, do you ever wonder what plant could possibly be blooming next in my garden? As I prepare by studying these, I am wondering the same thing! It is only June! We still have July and August and September to go! Although many of those already had pages done last year, I will be updating the pages with journaling and photos, just not a a video. I may not be sharing those updates.
Well, we’ve reached the end of this one,
Cheryl
I have taken pictures of the Bee Balm out at Black Bayou NWR … beautiful flowers! I like Earl Grey and did not make the connection! Thanks!
