Delphinium - not to be confused with Larkspur, although it is! (Issue 75)
Here’s the new Delphinium website page with photos and info. I had trouble seeing the “spur” in the below video, it’s one of those things, once you see it, you see it! Do you see it? I am always confusing Delphinium and Larkspur and cannot keep them straight, so I am studying it and making notes, for myself and you, so I can remember next time. The common name for Delphinium is Larkspur, but the real Larkspur has a different scientifie name! Ah! Both have the same common name, but different scientific names. It’s all on the website if you are interested.
Here is the YouTube video for you to enjoy.
You will note some seed packets I have bought that are all similar. I need to plant to learn. Of course, now that I learned about the different varieties of Delphinium, I know which one I want to buy, but it is too late as I already bought the wrong one. I’ll play with it anyway.
I’m busy washing fabric and rehanging it on the patio, and washing the futon fabric and putting it back together. I am SO anxious to finally get the patio cleaned up now that the drainage pipe dirt aka mud is sort of gone. I need my happy place to be set up, clean, and happy again. It is fun to set it up different each year and decorate it differently. I never know what is going to happen!
