Please read the new website pag for my Toolbox Shelf Planter for the story with photos. There is no sense in me retyping what is already there and been done.
I am loving it though! It started out like this which I recently bought at an antique store.
Actually, it started out as this napkin which I loved and saved a few years ago. Just one napkin covered the entire metal piece!
Here is the YouTube video for sharing how I put together this new repurposed planter. It tells the rest of the story of how I planted it up with a plant already in my garden.
Then I redid that planter into this and I love making things new! It is such a lovely scene in my garden beds. The story is on the website page and in the video.
Let me know and do share if you have done anything similar in your garden. I would love to see it.
Something happened with my laptop last week and I’ve spent a lot of time trying to fix it. I can hardly put together videos anymore. I think it is just getting old and the big giant companies are in control (i.e. Microsoft and Adobe) and keep updating the software requiring more and more from my current hardware set up and it is beginning to become obsolete. Sigh. Why do they do that? You know what I mean. They keep making things bigger and better so we have to spend more money to keep our things that are perfectly fine running smoothly.
You will remember that last week I shared that I was hoping to see 2,900 subscribers on YouTube, and I reached it about last Thursday! Now it’s a long way to 3,000, and although that would be super sweet, I am going to stop stalking the stats and let be what will be. If you helped me reach the goal, a big thanks to you from me!
I was glad to bring you something new today rather than just flowers, but I do have more flowers to share. Can you believe how many I have in my garden? I cannot. I am anxious to see what number I land on when I am done.
Have a good week. My week is kind of wonky. My son moved home yesterday for a few weeks and my house is—huh, happy to have him! My truck is in the shop and I have a rental. And so much more. But this is life and we live it to its fullest.
Till next time,
Cheryl
Your birdbath planter is very stylish. i love it. I have a stone bird bath left by the previous owner. I tried to turn it into a planter, but I haven't figured out how to add drainage at the bottom.
Very lovely planter! There is no drainage at the bottom of your toolbox—is that okay for stonecrop? I have this plant too. Repurposing kitchenware into garden ware is one of my favorite crafts.
