Visit the website page for the written information and photos about Squaw Weed. I am in the process of eliminating it from my garden and thought I would not have a video, but then one decided to survive and bloom! So I got a quick video to share this lovely plant with you.
I am not sure why the common name is Squaw Weed. I did not think to look that up and maybe should have. It sounds like a Native American reference, and being I have Native American in me, it peeks my interest. If you know the answer, leave me a comment.
Enjoy the Youtube video. This is also called Roundleaf groundsel or even roundleaf ragwort. That makes me wonder if it contributes to pollen allergies and I did not look that up either. If you know the answer, leave me a comment.
All of my time and effort to learn and share is on the website page or the video, and not this newsletter, so be sure to click on over if you love learning.
As promised, I shared some flower photos in Substack Notes in between newsletters. I already did a newsletter and video on Tulips, but these were not in full bloom then. I added the images to the Tulip website page where you can see the tags too.
Apparently according the tag I planted them last Autumn, but I do not remember doing that! Ah! A surprise to myself!
These are Orange Emperor and Salmon Van Eijk. I love the green parts on the orange ones, don’t you? The salmon color is rather lackluster until it compliments the orange and green. It almost looks like a faded red like something went wrong with the flower. I need to see it through the salmon-color eyes attitude!
I have a bunch of half-recorded videos of lots of flowers, but I am waiting for them to come to their fullness before I share as I may want to add more snippets to them.
Thanks for staying with me and being interested in what I share, as always,
Cheryl
Tulip website page is fantastic, well-documented knowledge, a collection of various tulip species over 20 years. Amazing!
Pink ones are nice as well, it’s Sakura pink.
