The Bridal Wreath flowers are SO tiny that you have to get up close and personal with them to fully appreciate them. They are in the Rose family and look like tiny roses.
You should really click to the website to see all of the beautiful photos and full images throughout the years of this shrub (although I keep calling it a bush).
See? Look at this photo! I do wish I had time for photos this year, but my studying, journaling, and video is priority. I am enjoying all that I am learning and going back through the years with memories of the garden. But the photography is taking second place over the other this year. Next year I’ll be back to simple photo sharing.
Meanwhile, we have plenty of gorgeousness from previous years to revisit.
Here’s the video sharing what I have learned this year and it is also in written format on the website. Thanks again for watching the YouTube videos and liking or commenting over there.
I hope this has brought a little bit of lovely into your day and that you too learn something today.
I have been shopping for new outdoor curtains for the patio. I cannot find any I like! And they are so expensive! Several years ago at an AirStream that we stayed in they had some outdoor curtains that I fell in love with because they were so sturdy and strong and blocked out the light well. I have now decided I need to sew my own curtains, so I may begin that project today. I was trying to avoid getting out my sewing machine, but I have plenth of scrap fabric and plenty of ideas.
I want to get some of it done and share with you the results. In previous years we merely used painter’s cloth in the side that it came in and loved them as they were blowing gently in the breeze. I have plenty of that to cut up and use making more of a patchwork boho curtain. I also want to weight them at the bottom and also make each piece less width so that I have more panels for the same space. I also want to make them longer.
It’s that time of year I need to start setting up my patio for the season. I like changing it up and making it a place I enjoy being. That and we keep striving to get that drainage pipe dug, placed, and refilled, but hubby has been working 70+ hour weeks and is just worn out on the weekends, so that progress is slow.
See you in two days when I share the next thing in my garden,
Cheryl
I love the green in the center.
I really enjoyed seeing your Bridal Wreath flowers! When I was a little girl (1950's) my mom would cut a piece and put it in my hair as a headband. I didn't know that they are in the rose family!
I don't comment often, but I always enjoy hearing from you! -- Anita
