The second lovely bluebells in my garden to bloom (Issue 66)
Visit the website page for the Spanish Bluebells, as always, where all the information and photos will always be kept. A few weeks ago we looked at the Virginia Bluebells in my garden which are a perennial and also a native plant here in Missouri. This time we are looking at the Spanish Bluebells which are bulbs. Both are lovely in their own way.
Watch the YouTube video which also shares the same information as the written page.
This is a scene from my garden in 2022 which I just love! I need to put this combination together again. The whole right of this scene had to be moved this year as we took out those blocks you see where the chair and table are setting, as well as moved the whole bed over to the left to straighten it up with the rest of the bed. So a lot of plants got moved around. We are happy that they were moved, but I sure do miss this scene.
There are two kinds of alliums in this photo, and one is not blooming yet (as in this photo and now), and the other is blooming, but not in this spot! In the front is a Salvia, which is blooming now, but has been moved. The Spanish bluebells are the purple behind the pink Salvia and they were moved to another spot in this photo and mostly to a completely different garden bed.
We had made the extra stone area when we first made the gardens about 20 years ago so that we could put a swing there. Then it was expanded to fit a hot tub for many years. Now it is time for change. See the standing water by the fountain? Now it can flow on out and that is a happy happy.
We moved the fountain last weekend too! I am always moving things around in the garden and patio each year. I can never imagine anything I want to move and think it will just be the same, but then inspiration happens and I am always delighted by the changes the whole next season.
I do miss this scene, but I will remember it and work on recreating it for next year.
I hope you have enjoyed this episode of lovely-lovely and I’ll be back soon with yet another flower.
