Here is the new Geranium Rozanne website page. This is the first time I have ever grown this plant and I think it is here to stay. These are the true Geraniums, and here I thought all these years that the other annual plant was the only Geranium!
Have you missed me? I cannot believe it has been ten days since I posted. I did not realize it was that long. We took a little weekend trip for our anniversary and ever since I have been trying to put together those videos for sharing, at the same time as having activities most evenings. It leaves me little time to get else done. But then again, I think you needed a break from my over-posting, so it has been a good thing. Here is is Friday evening and I am determined to spend my time to put some website pages together and hit send.
Here is the YouTube video for the Geranium Rozanne. I have read some people who do not like how this plant vines out, but I think I am going to love it. It seems very manageable and yet it blooms all late summer. I think it will be great with the Purple Poppy Mallow next year.
Here is the YouTube video of the AirBnB we stayed in for our 38th anniversary. It is not exactly the kind of vacation we usually plan as museums and indoor stuff are not usually our thing. However, as all the readers that have been around a while know, I am trying to visit something from every county in Missouri. I could not visit Cole County without visiting the Missouri State Capital and all the tourist things in Jefferson City. We decided to take advantage of the opportunity of a live-in dog sitter since our son is temporarily home. It’s not like we could have taken them on this trip! We did have a good time and I’ve a lot of videos and website pages to share in the coming posts.
It even turned into a partial genealogy trip as my anscestor was in the prison we visited! So some of those who read here for my genealogy posts, stay tuned for that. I asked a lot of questions on the tour and gained a better understanding.
Our place was a direct shot of the Missouri State Capital. Visit the website page for more photos. Or watch the video above, of course. There turns out to be a lot of history to the house we stayed in. For one thing, it was built by prison labor! Plus Mr. Parker ran a business within the prison walls as the prisoners made shoes for him to sell. I write more on the website page.
It was kind of creepy staying so close to the ghosts.
This is us on the morning of our anniversary. That mirror was huge!
We played with the mural across the street from our stay and there’s some more photos on the website page. Yes, I’m holding onto the tree trunk that is a top of a guitar and there is a leaf coming out of my pocket. It’s not often you get to see a photo of me.
What have you been up to in August? Leave me a comment. I’d love for this to be a two-way sharing.
See you soon.
Cheryl
Happy Anniversary! That looks like a neat place to visit. The geranium… never saw one like it! Love the color! Glad you enjoyed your trip!
Great read! Geraniums are a staple in my yard too, though it’s funny that mine are all Pelargoniums, false geraniums. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for the true geranium. Lovely pictures, the delicate veins on the petals are stunning.
Looks like you had a fantastic vacation! We had an anniversary trip planned in July but had to cancel last minute when our cat sitter bailed the day before.
